The Milwaukee Bucks have signed big man Jake Stephens to their training camp roster and saw center Myles Turner elected as a vice president of the National Basketball Players Association. These moves come as the team prepares for camp opening on September 29th.

The Bucks continued building their roster by inking 26-year-old center Jake Stephens. He stands 6-foot-11 and most recently played for KK Split in Croatia. Stephens averaged 9.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in about 16 minutes per game there, shooting 54.2% from the field.

His professional journey began after going undrafted in 2023. Stephens played 41 G League games for the Capital City Go-Go and Stockton Kings in his first pro season. He then spent the 2024-25 campaign with Monbus Obradoiro in Spain and FMP Beograd in the Adriatic League.

Before turning pro, Stephens played four college seasons at Virginia Military Institute. He transferred to Tennessee-Chattanooga for his final year in 2022-23.

Bucks center Myles Turner has taken on a significant leadership role off the court. He was elected as a vice president for the National Basketball Players Association. Turner begins a three-year term immediately.

He joins an executive committee that includes Karl-Anthony Towns, Jaylen Brown, and Trey Murphy III. In a union statement, Turner expressed his readiness for the job. "I am thrilled to join the executive committee at such an important time for our league," Turner said.

He added, "It's an honor to be voted in by my peers, and I am committed to advancing the priorities that matter most to the players across the league." Turner also recently pledged $2 million to support athletics at his former school.

The Bucks organization made a notable adjustment to their coaching structure. Schuyler Rimmer was named head coach of the Wisconsin Herd, the team's G League affiliate.

This is interesting because Rimmer was originally announced as an assistant on Taylor Jenkins' main staff in Milwaukee. According to the team, he will serve in both roles for the 2026-27 season. Rimmer was an assistant coach for the Maine Celtics in the G League last year.

The Bucks enter this period of roster and staff movement with recent results in mind.
